Located only 10 minutes away from the airport, Al Qusais is especially popular with frequent travellers and long-term expats. As one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city, amenities are plentiful in the region, making it easy for residents to get by without a car. Located along the Dubai Metro green line and served by the Al Nahda and Etisalat stations, there are also many buses that serve inner areas of Al Qusais. The neighbourhood is well-connected to the rest of the city as well as the neighbouring emirate of Sharjah via Al Ittihad Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
While foreign ownership of property is not permitted in the area, expats still flock to Al Qusais for budget-friendly apartments. Great for families, the region has over ten schools with the most notable being American International School, Dubai Scholars and The Millennium School. There are also many clinics located inside Al Qusais as well as hospitals like Zulekha Hospital and NMC Hospital.
